Our Story

Pheratech was founded on the principles of biomimicry and pioneering engineering, merging the elegance of nature’s time-tested evolutionary traits with cutting-edge technology. Our vision is simple yet ambitious: to develop autonomous, adaptive robots that collaborate seamlessly—drawing inspiration from the intricate behaviors of ants, bees, wasps, and termites, as well as the intelligence and agility of deer, moose, birds, and lions. Nature is both elegant and efficient, and we believe that by harnessing its principles, we can engineer solutions that address humanity’s greatest challenges. From climate change and wildfires to security threats, school violence, and hazardous construction environments, we focus on creating human-centered, intelligent robotic systems that enhance and protect lives. At Pheratech, innovation isn’t just about machines—it’s about securing a safer, brighter future for all.

Michael Huynh

Michael Huynh

Chief Executive Officer

Leads all sections of the company, focusing on AI Swarm Research and Applications bridging autonomous robotics with the biology of ants and bees!

Michael Huynh

Michael's Background is in ants and bee biology, stemming from a young age. From the time he was in middle school, he has worked on research that uses computer-vision models to study ant-swarm behavior, and when his love for robotics and his interests in biology met, Pheratech was born. He has a deep passion for using the natural world to expand the limits of technology--but to also help humanity. Pheratech's mission is guided by humanitarian values and he hopes to work on climate change, school security, and fire-fighting technology through Pheratech's systems.
